William Abranowicz at Perivolas Blog

William Abranowicz is a New York-based, internationally published photographer with a passion for Greece. He is best known for his poised and meticulous still life, landscape and lifestyle images, and his deep affinity for the classical forms of interiors and exteriors.

His photographs appear frequently, to name but a few, in Conde Nast Traveler, Martha Stewart Living, Gourmet, The New York Times Magazine, Elle Decor, Town & Country, and Vanity Fair, as well as international publications.

His first photographic tribute to the landscapes of Greece, The Greek File: Images of a Mythic Land, was published by Rizzoli in 2001, where each picture within the book appears to be two and a half thousand years deep.

His latest book on Greece, Hellas, published in 2011, features images of all dimensions of Greek life: its stores and cafes, its ancient ruins, its craggy mountains and its villages rising out of brilliant aquamarine waters. Namely, the book contains collectively all of what makes up present day Greece.

Bill’s friendship with Perivolas Hotel runs deep, and has made him and his work not of an outsider nor a tourist, but of someone who has become an old friend.
